Just Jack is not an exclusive archive. We welcome all submissions. The Grammar/Spelling Issue: Just Jack is not responsible for any grammatical errors or spelling mistakes in the fics on this site. We simply post as we receive because we do not have the time to correct other people's work. So if you submit a fic that has a lot of grammar and spelling errors, it will look bad on your behalf. We highly encourage you to get a beta-reader before submitting. Please send all submissions to [email protected] (this email is strictly for submissions) and make sure to follow the following simple guidelines. 1. The Subject: "Submissions 4 Just Jack" (or something of that nature) should be written in the subject of the email to separate it from junk mail. Your email may be deleted if the subject does not follow according to this. 2. The Info: List the following: title, author, part (i.e. Part 3/?, Part 4/7), category/coupling, rating, and the email to which feedback should be sent. This should be at the top of the email for posting and classification purposes. 3. The Last Part: Please let us know when you have finished a fic or if it's a one-parter (i.e. Part 3/End) so we can let our readers know. 4. Coupling: All romances, regardless of coupling, should be submitted to the romance section (or NC-17). For romance and NC-17 fics, please specify the coupling. 5. Ensemble Fics: All non-Jack fics should go to the "Angst" section, unless they are romances, in which case, follow 4 above. If there are enough ensemble and non-Jack fics, an "Other" section will be started. 6. The Fic: We can only accept fic in these forms: a.) a link to where the fic is posted already (i.e. another archive or your own personal site) b.) a .doc (Microsoft Word) or .txt (Text) file. c.) in the body of an email. HTML coding is allowed and encouraged, but only bare minimum (i.e. with <b> <i> <p> tags). Do not code for background images or for font, color or other style choices. Any coding that does not fit this requirment will not be posted. 7. Layout: Do not indent the first line of every paragraph. The standard form for online fics is to separate every paragraph with a space, just like this page. We highly encourage sending a link (option 6a), since a link saves us web space and time, and ensures that your fic will get updated more quickly. That's all. Thank you for taking the time to read the guidelines and submitting. If you have any questions or problems, email us. |
