Connecting to the internet using
Netscape
If you're connecting direct to the internet, that is
you have configured your gateway to the intenet, Netscape
can automatically detect the proxy settings from the network. But if you
are behind a proxy server and its your only gateway to the internet you
have to set it up manually.
Steps:
1. Open Netscape
2. Click edit and select preferences
3. Select advanced then proxies
4. select manual proxy configurattion and then enter the proxy server
addresss and the ports for all the proxies you need.they include FTP,
Gopher, HTTP, SSL, and SOCKS proxy servers.
5. Click OK
And you're ready to surf the Intenet.
