The Australian Division is responsible for covering approximately 11% of the airspace in the IVAO world. Accordingly, we strive to develop the best events possible for both domestic and international pilots.
This web page lists events currently registered with IVAO in the Australian FIR. It also lists events being planned by the AU Events Staff.
Latest News06 April 2004Unfortunately the division needed to postpone events in March and early April due to work commitments of our members. However, these events have now been reprogrammed for April and are looking like drawing a lot of domestic and international members. The Events Department has recently published new requirements for the positions of AU-EC and AU-EAC. Click here to see them. |
20 March 2004Division Awards. The Australian Division is currently working on two major events projects. Web pages will be placed here soon for these new events projects.
Routine Flying. Ansett Virtual holds weekly flight events in conjunction with IVAO Australia. All members of the AU Division are welcome to fly and join Ansett. Visit their website here.

EC and EAC. The AU Division's Events Department is under the leadership of the Events Coordinator, Darren Smith ([email protected]), a full time military aircrew officer. There is currently a position vacant as the Events Assistant Coordinator. If you think you have what it takes to fill this position, please apply to the Director ([email protected]).

EMs. The EC appoints specialist advisors for each event. These members have experience in particular skills or rules of operation that are being taught or exploited during a given event. These specialists are called Event Monitors, and are the first point of contact for members during events. The current list of event monitors is:
