102: Nominations for Promotions (Pixie, May 12, 40)

In an effort to keep some pressure off of myself, and to keep all members active, I got inspired with a new idea of how members can actively participate in the clan! I would like to invite members to nominate fellow clanmembers for promotions. Here is the way I propose this works:

Any member may nominate a member that is a lower rank than them in the clan. To nominate someone, you must post a message on the clan board stating your name and office, and the member you are nominating. You should state their current ranking and what rank you propose for them. You should also give reasons why you think they should be nominated. Other members can then give their thoughts on the board, or in private to the Phoenixes (I dunno the plural), Pixie and Cat. At the next meeting, after discussion of prospective members, a discussion regarding promotions can commence, a vote can occur, and hopefully we can have some promotions!

An example nomination is as follows (this is only an example, and not for real):

I Pixie, Phoenix of It-uile, nominate Testmember, Acolyte of It-uile, to be promoted to the ranking of Junior Journeyman. I often notice Testmember following clan members, loners, and even members of other clans to heal them. He frequently checks 'folks' to see if anyone is in need of healing, and will go to heal them, even without them asking. Whenever a newbie asks for help on the public channels, Testmember can be seen running to help them. Testmember has proven his dedication to It-uile and has proven to be a trustworthy member of the clan.

See, it's not hard to write up a nomination. :)

We have a lot of Acolytes right now, so I'd love to see members nominate others for promotion. It would be nice to start filling out all those empty ranks that we have. ;)
