WEB SITES

These web sites were created mainly as a way of generating ideas. They are ongoing projects which may change with time. Here are the sites, with a brief description of each.

Safety Net

"Not for the first time I found myself in tears. In my depressed state, and exhausted from our marathon dialogue, I hit the sack and went immediately to sleep."

An online novel aimed at Young people, Safety Net was designed to show how the Internet can be used to present creative writing as an ongoing project. In a classroom situation, students may design a similar web site at the beginning of the year, adding written material and other media throughout the year, building up a reasonable portfolio of work in the process.

Raider Park

"Adventure you won't believe. An experience you'll never forget."

Ideas are formed in the imagination. Raider Park is a fictional theme park where adventure and discovery rule. This web site is set up realistically, as if there really was such a place as Raider Park.

Terror Form

"The only thing worth fearing is the form that terror takes."

An idea for an Interactive game which has as a theme interplanetary intrigue and adventure. Terror Form is a play on words and has a double meaning. It refers to the terra forming effort taking place (in the future) on the four main inhabited worlds (Mars, Triton, Europa and Io). But it also means literally terrifying form, a term which is also laced with dual meanings.

Space Future

"But while the cost of Space Flight remains prohibitive, progress in the area of exploration and settlement is irritatingly slow."

This site examines alternative Earth to Space Launch Vehicles and discusses issues relevant to space colonisation and a more romantic vision of the future of humans in space. It uses images to explain the thinking behind new ideas in space travel and settlement.
