This site is about good Italian food and living the good life. It's all about " breaking bread" together ... good food, good wine, and good friends -- lots of laughs, head slaps, and back pats. The door to the Italian home is always opened; the kitchen table is forever bountiful and inviting. From the stove, you can taste the odors in the air. In the background is the music of mandolins and a tenor. Your friends welcome you with a two-handed clasp, a broad, sincere smile, and, of course, a glass of "red." "...vita bello."

This site is dedicated to some of "da boys" on the block, like Carlo, Brucie, Tony, Bobby, Davey, and all the other guys at the club (the club, huh?) who have kept the "flavor" and feelings of the old country alive, but most of all, in memory of our good friend, Billy. (If Bill had been President of the World, we'd be okay today.)
"How ya' do'n?"
What's this? Ya' don't need a "gat" in the kitchen ... well, not all the time, but ya' never know. Sometimes one of those pesky sewer rats gets wind of the simmering gravy, the frying sausage, or the roasting peppers and ya' gotta get rid of the guy ... errr, I mean, the pest -- better to be safe than to have your sausage bit.

Here's how it works: You come here, often, see what's cook'n. Then you print the page or "right click" the stuff you want, cook it, and share it with your family. Then you write and e-mail to me at the link below with a .jpg photo of the completed recipe. Simple, huh?

Here are some snaps of "Da Boys" representing the "Corleone Bocce Team" (CBT) at the "First Universal Bocce Association Linguini League and Society" (F-U-BALLS) Tournament" held a few years ago in Reggio Calabria, Italy, on the banks of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The "CBT" returned to the West side docks of New York City with the coveted first-place trophy: a beautiful, cast aluminum, gold plated, 3-foot long, canoli. The "CBT" reinged victorious over the second place loosers from the Polish/Irish/French sponsored "Bocce Union of Tournament Teams and Under-Garnment (workers) League (of) Yahoos" (BUTT-UGLY). We congratulate Da Boys for making all real Americans very proud.
"Da Boys" of "CBT" seem a little anxious to begin the tournament. Note all the fans who turned out for the bocce competition in the beautiful Southern Italian countryside. Left to right: Brucie, Bobby, Carlo, Bobby, and Billy.
Cheers and accolades: Provolone and chianti for the victorious team after a long, hot afternoon on the bocce courts. Note in the background the Villa D'Calzone, home of Calabria's mayor, Baroni D'Cumadre. Left to right: Davey, Billy, Brucie, Carlie, and Bobby.
