1st MEETING

Brain storming: a) we've chosen an outline for our project which is on future predictions b) something to do with unexpected inventions or events that can render prediction c) what and how the world would be in the future d) decided a group name - Kosubaka (Japanese word for dumb idiots) 2. Presentation methods: a) applying notes searched on the internet b) making short sketches c) presenting our research and personal predictions through the sketches d) semi-formal presentation 3. 2nd MEETING

Listed out our rough ideas on how we are going to present work a) decided to do 5 short sketches touching on the 5 most popular topics of our 10 future prediction topics c) 5 decided topics - health, fashion and entertainment, politics (cyberlaw), culture and language, and society (interactions and ethics) b) divided the sketches into 5 main scenes with 3 people acting in each of that scenes c) proposed to deliver our work in a formal manner yet interesting and very attentive to the audience 2. Outline of the scripts a) giving a brief explanation on the topics chosen b) an insight into what the future will be on the topics chosen c) entertaining yet informative to the audience 3. 3rd MEETING
Minutes of the 3rd group Kosubaka meeting Date : Saturday, 16 march 2001 Time : 2.00p.m to 5.00p.m Venue : Siti Hasmah Digital Library Present : Group Leader : Natalia binti Abdul Ghani Secretary : Sharifah Sheznie binti Syed Hashim Treasurer : Dela Amira Binti Ahmad Proof Readers : Azri Zulfadli b. Script: a) compile all the scripts together b) did some reference from the books available in the library 2. Presentation: a) would be in a form of sketch b) portraying the unexpected inventions or events that can render prediction. 3. Work distribution: a) divided the roles and characters to each member b) each member were given a copy of the script to enable them to read it thoroughly and memorize it by the next meeting 4. Pull-out from the group: a) Dela Amira informed of a pull-out by a group member, Razli b. 4th MEETING
Minutes of the 4th group Kosubaka meeting Date : Wednesday, 21 March, 2001 Time : 3.00am to 5.00am Venue : FCM building Present : Group Leader : Natalia binti Abdul Ghani Secretary : Sharifah Sheznie binti Syed Hashim Treasurer : Dela Amira Binti Ahmad Proof readers : Azri Zulfadli b. Props for the presentation: a) montaray glasses- purplish colored glasses b) barracuda sandals- plastic futuristic sandals c) PDA- personal device application d) Nokia 111875 - a handphone 2. Presentation: a) practise how to deliver the script to the audience by using the correct tones and intonations b) try and learn to make interaction between the presenter and the audience while presenting c) learn and practice to use the proper body and hand movement while reading the script d) practice and memorise the script 3. Pull-out from the group: a) it has been confirmed that Razli b. Abdul Rahman has pull-out of the group b) his pull-out has been inform to the lecturer yesterday, during the lecture. 5th MEETING
Minutes of the 5th group Kosubaka meeting Date : Monday, 2 April 2001 Time : 4.00pm to 6.00pm Venue : FCM building Present : Group Leader : Natalia binti Abdul Ghani Secretary : Sharifah Sheznie binti Syed Hashim Treasurer : Dela Amira Binti Ahmad Proof readers : Azri Zulfadli b. Practice: a) practiced the sketch and rehearse the presentation with the right action b) practiced till the whole thing was perfect c) did a little bit of alteration to the scripts to suit the presenter and the sketch 2. Presentation: a) stressed on voice projecting and the principles of public speaking 3.
