THE ARTIST

Born Tengku Sabri bin Tengku Ibrahim on 10th April 1961 in Trengganu, Malaysia. Learned traditional Malay woodcarving and carpentry as a teenager from Master-Craftsman father. Elementary education at Tengku Mahmood Primary School and secondary education at Tengku Mahmood Secondary School in his home district. Received his Diploma in Art & Design (Fine Art) from Institut Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, in 1986. Received his M.A in Art & Design Education from De Montfort University, England, in 1999. Teaches art in several art institutions since 1986. Lives and works in Selangor, Malaysia.
