As Carlos Calesto in Dendam Seorang Pembunuh (1998), Isma Yusoof
stormed the imagination of filmgoers. Isma's no-holds-barred performance
as the troubled gangster was strikingly on the mark and made him
a star. Originally a stage actor, Isma began his cinematic career
with films like Ringgit Kasorga (1996) and Mimpi MOON (1999),
where he was noticed even though he was not featured in a central
role.

After
his tour de force performance in Hollywood production movie Anna
and The King, Isma has continued to garner acclaim for his portrayals
of different-from-the-usual characters, whether it was in Mimpi
MOON (1999) or in Leftenan Adnan (2000). Isma has always endeavored
to be true to his art and he does his best to echo each of his
character's unique rhythms. Not surprisingly, he has won the Asian
Pacific Movie Awards for Best Actor for both Mimpi MOON and Leftenan
Adnan.

After his highly acclaimed local award winning project, Isma Yusoof
is now ready with his second magnum opus remake "Jebat The
Legend " based on malay marvelous historical legendary, which
is completed and scheduled for release all over on June 18, 2001.
A Jin Samsuddin Presentation, the film is adapted, produced and
directed by Isma Yusoof under Universal Picture. "Jebat The
Legend" is a classic thriller and features two Award Winner,
which are Rosyam Noor and Isma Yusoof himself.

make Malaysians would give him their respect sign is, this extra-ordinary
project will be the very first Malaysian movie to be brought among
those talented movie makers in Hollywood. Perhaps pursuing to
become the first step for Malaysian product of winning some Oscars
after a reflection of Grouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon that is the
first Asian production to become highlighted on Academy Awards
recently. He will make a comeback of our legendary P. Ramlee and
ofcourse he will make us stand on the eyes top of the world.
