| Well, I don't have many hobbies other than collecting InuYasha and Cat memorabilia, but I DO have lots of interests... I like to play pool, I LOVE to go horseback riding although I do not own a horse, I love to sing (if I thought I had the whole package, I'd probably go for it!), I like to read (it is so nice to curl up on the couch with a suspenseful thriller on a rainy Florida day), I like to jog, teaching my daughter new things, and I LOVE going to the movies. Oh, and let's not forget eating. I love to eat. I think Pizza Hut is my fave, with Prime Rib coming in 2nd and Chinese coming in 3rd. I'm Italian, and no one cooks better than mom, so I don't prefer to go to Italian resteraunts (although I've recently discovered Carino's, which is REALLY good-coming from me, it damn well better be! www.carinosflorida.com if you live near me), Bryan is the one who drags me to the Italian places (he's Jewish). But I love to try new places, Thai, Moroccan, French, whatever. (I'm trying to get Bry to go to this Arabic place). Oh, also, I try to do my part when it comes to the environment/animals. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a vegetarian or anything, but I write to congressmen, sign petitions, and am a part of igive.com, where whatever I buy benefits my group of choice, mine being Friends Of Greyhounds, an organization that rescues retired racing dogs and finds them homes. I don't have a bunch of money to spread, but I think education is key... |
| Ok, so in no particular order (except the first, which IS first in my heart): Green Day, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Fall Out Boy, Eminem, Gloria Estefan, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Michael Buble, Phil Collins, Billy Joel, Jay-Z, Linkin Park, Marylin Manson, Elton John, Duran Duran, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Pearl Jam, The Righteous Brothers, almost ANYTHING 80's and an honorable mention to Chris Brown, because I'm not sure if I'm a long-time fan yet. |
| I know I already kinda talked about this, but that's how strongly I feel. I try to do what I can in order to save the big cats and thier habitat. Did you know there are some species of Tiger that have less than 20 members in the wild? As the world's population grows, and we encroach on thier habitats, they die off. Poaching? Yes. But mostly from lack of resources. Villages that grow livestock take up grazing land for their prey, and also the areas where these cats get their water. The cats usually would rather move on than be spotted by humans. In South America, the Jaguar is getting increasingly endangered. The are extremely elusive and shy; they do not like human populated areas, therefore are pushed towards each other as humans build on their hunting grounds. If we don't do what we can, most of these species will go extinct, only available in Zoos, and even though, most of those will die off, as they do not breed well in captivity-with the exception of Lions, some Tigers, Leopards, and Severals. |

| I was born and raised in New York (Brooklyn), then we moved to Long Island, and when I was 11 we moved to South Florida. I am adopted, and am biologically Finnish, but was raised as an Italian, which I am proud of, to an extent. I was Daddy's little girl, and he was hospitalized with a cancerous brain tumor the day before my 16th birthday. A year later, he passed away a week before my 17th birthday. Bad things have happened near my birthday since. Unfortunately, because of teenage hormones and such, we weren't really close at that time, but Bryan has helped me deal with it. Now I miss him. And it makes me sad to know that Isabel will never know her Grandfather. I work as a biller for a company that staffs its' own hospitals with nurses, which is kind of ironic, but it pays well, and the insurance is great, although it is VERY boring. And I am a sucker for Calla Lillies and nature trails... I had hopes of being a science teacher, but no money for school! |
