The Focus Our set-apart people, united under God, are scattered and confused. Jesus Christ is supposed to be the absolute center and core of every Christian Life. Jesus is the reason we call ourselves Christians. He's the pivot of eternity, and we cannot proceed down life's path without implanting Him in who we are. I DON'T LIKE A LOT OF CHRISTIANS Of course I love them...that's what being a Christian is all about. Unconditional Love. However, it's difficult for me to get along withe many Christians because I have noticed that a great deal of those who call themselves followers of Christ do nothing to show it. Being a Christian is not about actions, it's about faith. BUT THE BIBLE SAYS THAT FAITH RESULTS IN ACTIONS. In other words, you can't really tell that a person is faithful until he/she does something of faith. That's why I'm so concerned about the way Christians BEHAVE. First of all, most people ("Christians" included) have NO CLUE what Christianity is about. Many are fooled into thinking that it's a club or a group intersted in doing "the right thing." NEVER THAT. Christians believe in Jesus Christ. Christians believe that Jesus Christ completed and provided a remedy for the issue of Original Sin. Because of Jesus (you really have to understand the whole story) humans have an opportunity to defeat our humanity. In other words, Jesus let's humans liver forever. EASY THERE, KILLER! I know. Whoa cowboy. I said live forever. Just give me a second. Here's the way it is. Either you believe that when you Die KAPUT...you're gone forever, or you believe that there is something else after life. I say that there is something after life. Let's use some fickle falible flawed science. The science that doesn't believe in God says that brainwaves are electrical. This is simple. Fine...so we have electricity in us...big deal. When we die, what happens to that electricity? Does it go with us, or does it just fly off into the atmosphere? If it flies off, then pretty soon, we're all gonna fry. Even if the claim was made that the world is big enough to hold any 'extra electricity', there would still have to be support that there is more electricity in the whole world now then there was a second ago (cuz let's face it. Somone just croaked.). If you say that the electricity fades and then ceases to be, you'd have a bone to pick with your very own science simply because the same science that doesn't believe in God says that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. What now? You could move for the immateriality (is that even a word?) of electricity, but then we get even more problems that would probably result in an argument about how valid language really is. (eg. "Well then why are batteries called cells or receptacles?")
Like I was saying...
If we believe that we'r eliving forever,a nd that we really were created by God, then we are naturally OF God, and therefore, we shoudl do things God's way because he created the whole system. His way HAS TO BE the right way. (If we believe that He is the creator.)
So Christians?! Why the long faces? You've never read your Bible yet you're sure that God's way of life is boring. You want to "have fun now" and then grow up. How about growing up right now. If you understand what God has given us, then it's time to wake up and live the way we know we should. This does NOT mean being GOOD. It means being so close to God that your faith "bubbles over" and out pours the Goodness. You CAN'T be good wihtout God. If you try to live "right" or "virtuously" wihtout God, then YOU'RE WASTING GOOD CLUBBING TIME my friend. If you're not willign to live God's way, then don't waste your time. You're just making me look bad. It's like my Homey Jesus always said: "Would that you were hot OR cold. But you're not. So I SPIT YOU OUT!" Dude, just think of yourself like a piece of Pizza. It's great hot, it's great cold, but it's freekin NASTY when it's like...room temperature and the sauce is all nasty and the crust is all bendy.... That's pretty nasty dude. You know it is. So I leave you with this: BE PIZZA! The Idea is that we have accepted the offer of eternal life, and that as a result we are different beings. Our matter hasn't changed, but we have 'activated' God's spirit within us. In Highschool and College everything a kid does is under the precept that he/she is working towards graduation. Similarly, Christians should remember their end in everyhting they do. When I say 'end' I do not refer to death, but the beginning of the rest of our lives. If we truly believe that we have been reborn and forgiven such that we are permitted to enter Heaven's gates, then we should act accordingly. |
