The Epic of Dalen Grey

I think Ondre was getting alittle comfortable with the girls in the house. I noticed it was alittle cleaner. I was given money to take care of these girls. They really didn't leave and wouldn't be for alittle while. My first task for the day was to go out and buy food for them to cook. I never really cooked much before. I have fried meat over a fire, but it wasn't all that great. There was always a merchant chef in the market or a meal at a tavern to be eaten.

So I was told a list of things to pick up. I wasn't fond of running errants. I made an exception here though. It was tidious and kinda foreign to me. But I was providing for someone and there would be fresh meals for me when I was at home and that can't be too bad.

I was in the market minding my own business. I saw two guys pointing at me. I was alittle suspicious, even more so when they came running. I quickly drew my blade and thought how stupidly those that have charged me in the past have been. I readied my position and waited. The people around me have spread out. They reached me and I defended myself against there advances. I don't know from where, but a guard came up behind one man and clubbed him over his head with the handle of his short sword. The other man tried attacking him. The guard twisted his sword arm around til he dropped his weapon and was forced to turn away. He was then stabbed in the back part of his stomach. He dropped quickly.

"Sir, your gonna have to come with me."

I was as much shocked and I was pissed. "I'm innocent, they came to attack me."

"That is not for me to decide, you will come willingly or I will have to drag your body in."

"Alright, I'm coming."

"Your weapon sir."

"You better give that back."

"Thank you for your cooperation."

He took my weapon and singled for more guards. One to drag a body and one to drag a corpse. He escorted me into the prison.

I was interrogated all day. It was all the same guestions in a different way. I didn't know who they were, I had a few enemies they could have been. They didn't ask if I knew who they were working for though. I never seen them before. I had no debts. I wasn't know for theft. I didn't drink today. I wasn't involved in bar fights. I told them I worked in a bar and I got many questions about that. They wouldn't let me explain anything and I had to spend the whole night in the Jail since they wouldn't listen to a word I said. I wouldn't have minded so much if at least had a pile of hay to sleep on.
