The Epic of Dalen Grey

I awoke in the morning having four women sleeping at my place. I didn't know what I was gonna do. I didn't know what had happened last night. I never ment to get into a fight and found it was unavoidable. I think they will want to retaliate, but I don't know how they will do it. I figured I would ask the opinion of those close to me.

"Elizia, do you want to stay here. It might not be safe there."

"Thats sweet of you hun. I have a business to run and I can't abandon that. The girls might be alittle scared. If you would like to hide them for a few days dear, I would be greatful."

"Aren't you scared Elizia?"

"Don't worry dear. I have dealt with these people for years. I need you to look after the girls for me. They trust you. I need to get back and take care of business."

"I'll need to investigate further. I will keep you informed."

"Thanks hun."

She left, being careful not to be noticed by anyone. I told the girls I would look out for them. I couldn't garauntee that Ondre would be able to keep away. I told him to stand guard. I did put alittle trust into him and I wasn't aware would might happen when I left.

I wanted to find out what happened the night before after I fled the scene. I walked down that street and noticed four guards. There was a small crowd nearby and they were trying disband them. I walked by, looking out of curiousity but not stopping. It seemed ignoring the situation would be more suspicious then staring. The guards were examining the machine and the bodies. I imagine that the people would have Just removed all traces inside that narrow passage. Those people were however very dead and weren't able to complete the task. I kept walking by and proceeded to another ally way. I checked quickly inside the crate and then moved on. The money had been taken already. It seems that those other men must have retrieved it. The money was in there hands, this means that the deal went off. I can not be helped if I was attacked. I think I might escape any reprecusions.

I returned to find Ondre and the three girls Just talking and having a good time. I knew I could trust him to look out for them. He had a few words for me when I got back.

"Dalen, I need to leave for a bit. I won't be too long, Just business to deal with."

"What kind of business."

"Anything I tell you now can be tortured out of you later." He then winked at me and smiled. "It could be anything, a gambling debt or a secret spy mission. I'll let you know later how it goes."

"Just get out of here, you don't have to tell me." I couldn't help a little smile.

He wasn't too long and when he got back I left to inform Elizia of what I found out. I stuck around alittle bit and then I escorted the girls again. She gave me alittle extra bonus for taking care of them. Nothing had happened that night so I think we avoided a disaster. I went home and found everyone sleeping. I soon Joined them.
