On entering her assigned ship, Starbase 118, Iswarya met her former instructor, the then Lt Cmdr Tyr Waltas. They worked together against a Romulan Spy. She saved his life once during this. The camaraderie that grew out this blossomed into a tentative romance between them, with both sides being hesitant and afraid. |

However, Tyr's daughter, Daisha Waltas able to connect them, as Iswarya grew to love her as a daughter. Tyr even made her the godmother of Daisha. Tragedy struck however, as Daisha was kidnapped by Cardassians, and Tyr, distraught, went after her, leaving Iswarya without either person she loved. A while after this, Iswarya temporarily reassigned to a science vessel for two months. When she came back, she received a lettter from Tyr, telling her he wanted to terminate the relationship. He said it was because he felt he couldn't be with her after what he did to retrieve Daisha. Iswarya was devastated, even more so when she found out that the more poignant reason for Tyr leaving her was another woman, (then) Lt jg Eden Redstone, the CoS of the base. |

Karan is perhaps her most complicated love of all, simply because they never had a formally acknowledged relationship throughout the 27 years they knew each other. They had known each other from childhood, and were best friends. However, in an adolescent exploration of feelings, they kissed once. Karan has been more or less in love with her since then, though Iswarya pretends not to notice.
After he was engaged to another woman, Karan came to the base to vist Iswarya, thinking of their past as resolved. He was also able to help her recover from her heartbreak with Tyr. But what he didn't expect was for the feelings to come back. They had several near brushes. Finally, deciding that he couldn't betray his fiancee, Karan left the base, leaving the relationship with a question mark forever. |

Soli and Iswarya- a relationship that neither of them realised they had. After Dharma had stalked Iswarya, and he had been caught, Iswarya was left in a depression so deep it almost claimed her life. Ensign Soli rescued Iswarya out of her self-destructiveness, and called for the Counselor T'Lara, who helped her unlock the painful memories. After this, Soli remained by Iswarya's side, making sure she were alright.They shared one kiss - when Iswarya was not fully cognizent of her surroundings. Later, she didn't remember this kiss. Soli soon recognised she had feelings for the Lt, but did not want to burden her with it at this bad time. Also, she thought Iswarya was heterosexual. Iswarya in turn was unconsciously attracted to Soli, but did not recognise it due to her depressive state. Hence, the two women now carry on a platonic relationship laced with a Sapphic bond. |
