This mix turned out to be a particular favorite of my boyfriend, possibly because he provided some of the music and possibly because it's just fun. The songs should cover a nice range of all sorts of persons less emo than Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VII. As for why "Convoy" is included, well... it just seemed thematically suitable. "Because the Night" was an interesting case. It reminds many people we know of Ai no Kusabi or Mirage of Blaze (arguably not less emo than Cloud), but I personally am fond of picturing Zack (also of Final Fantasy VII, and much less emo than Cloud) performing it on a karaoke stage, having forced their unit of SOLDIERs (including Sephiroth) to go out drinking. I think he'd find that hilarious.
