Teddy

We attended the Gilroy Garlic Festival known for its garlic wreaths, garlic entrees, and garlic ice cream. Let me tell you - garlic ice cream is one thing that won't be catching on any time soon.

The Brockton Villa is one of my favorite restaurants in the San Diego area. It sits right over the La Jolla Cove with fantastic views of the Pacific Coastline. And their Cove Pancakes and CrabCake Sandwiches are scrumptious!

I am so spoiled. Teddy purchased this condo as an investment and as a place for me to live in during medical school. This is the view from my balcony.

My favorite part about Sea World is feeding the dolphins. Although I am uncomfortable about keeping animals in captivity, I am supportive of Sea World's goals to better understand these precious animals and to raise public interest in preserving the wildlife.

The Hoover Dam is an incredible sight. We toured down into the depths of the dam with our cute souvenir hard hats. We saw the huge running turbines, walked through tunnels to the bottom, and felt the enormous rush of water beneath our feet.

Tijuana is only a half-hour drive from where I live, but life there seems like worlds away. The houses are shacks, the roads are broken, and the children are beggars. Teddy made fun of my refusal to eat anything in Mexico - but after a course in Microbiology, neither would you!

Teddy is a biker enthusiast, so he purchased a Schwinn 500 road bike for me so that I could go biking with him. Unfortunately, I'm terribly clumsy and couldn't adapt to the lock-in shoes. The first photo was after a small fall. The second photo was after running into a rock at 30mph and flipping over my bike, landing me in the ER.

I think the best thing about Teddy is that he can be just as silly as me!
