| One of my favourite places is Balsam Lake at night. The full moon sheds a ribbon of light across the still waters, enticing watchers to wander its silver pathway to the skies. Stars dance across the endless expanse before me inviting me to explore its mystery. Liquid velvet ripples over my body, caressing, stroking, teasing..... Reluctantly I emerge from this lovers embrace. Alight, alive, on fire. Arousal is Posiden's souvenir, Completion a gift yet to come.... |

| The butterfly conservatory is one of my favourite places. Warm, moist air redolent with the musky scent of exotic plants and dark earth. Waterfalls sing in the background accompanied by the rustling of iguanas amongst the leaves. I like to sit on a secluded stone bench, close my eyes and let my senses revel in this tropical delight. The sounds of humanity fade away to be replaced by a heightened sense of sound, scent, taste and touch. I am surrounded by the whispering leaves that cradle aromatic blossoms. My tounge softly captures the tiny pearls of mist that cover my lips like dew. A gentle breeze wafts against my skin, so soft it almost goes unnoticed. Then, all at once there is a silent caress, the soft velvety kiss of butterfly wings. I slowly open my eyes to behold its delicate beauty. Colours glow and change with the slow, sensual movement of perfect wings. For a brief moment I am part of an iridescent rainbow. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I was going to change this...but it still holds true...my favourite place is in his arms...I wonder where his favourite place is? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The past few days I have been revisiting some of my favourite places in the hopes of easing the pain of the place I have allowed myself to enter. In all the searching, all the traveling I have not found the peace that I am looking for. I have come to realise that my favourite place is not about geography. It is about love. Specifically it is about the one I love. That has been a difficult discovery because the same does not hold true for him. Nonetheless...... My favourite place is in his arms. Listening to the beat of his heart under my ear, feeling the gentle inhale and exhale of air under my cheek. I love to nuzzle my nose in his neck, breathing in the scent that is him. The taste of his skin on the tip of my tongue is an aphrodisiac unlike any other. The feel of his lips against mine leaves me craving more..and I begin to explore. Ears, forehead, eyes, nose, chin...the texture of his hair beneath my lips and fingers. Each leads me to the next. His kisses are often moments stolen from time...when for one brief second the breath is emptied from the body and time stands still. The dark, moist, slightly smoky taste of his mouth speaks of pleasures to come. Then I feel his lips against my skin..soft like silk, with a moustache brush trailing behind. The contrast brings the places he travels alive. Each tender part that seeks his touch moving closer, inviting, offering.... anticipating. His hands are at once gentle and not...knowing and learning. As his eyes witness the excitement that he creates they fill with smiles, joining in my pleasure. This haven we have created is filled with the sounds of love. Sighs, laughter, soft moans, muffled groans, quickened breathing, quiet questions, barely perceptible answers, accompany us in the dance. Bodies move. At first languid, smooth, then with increasing urgency. Two become one, body, heart, soul. Time stops. We balance on the knife-edge of pleasure and pain. Tumbling back to earth we become not one, but two again. Forever different, never the same. |
