While understanding that helping a partner meet their needs is an important part of a relationship, how long can one person's needs be put on hold before there really isn't any relationship....just a disturbing sense that none of it was ever real..just some wonderful dream that I wanted to believe was real

Have you ever noticed that just when you have made up your mind not to think of something or someone ......everyone asks about it or them.....by name....and all at once the pain rolls over you again and you know that there is only one way for it to end....but the one you miss has to care enough to help you...that's a lot to ask...that someone love us more than they love, or hate themselves.
I've been sitting here listening to Faith Hill, remembering when I was first introduced to her...and how :-)
And wondering if he ever thinks of those moments
When does it cease to matter if the ones we love choose to walk away?
