The respectable actor Tim Curry was draughted in for this game, off to a good start then. After that it all goes downhill from there and on a very steep slope too.
Very bad game with a script to match and it's obvious that Mr Curry knows this and only enters half heartedly into the performance as the scientist! What a shame this could have been so good.

Although not actually having any movies or acting, this makes the list because of the officially endorsed commentary from Barry Davies, which although being ahead of the time back then in 1996 was so bad because of the very limited repertoire and vocabulary.
Every time the ball missed the goal, no matter how close or how far away you were from goal you hear Barry cry out " That was so bad it must be in another postcode". Funny, maybe the first time you hear it, but after 90game minutes you could quite happily strangle the man!
This offering had no real life actors but did have some of the most stereo-typical characters ever seen in video gaming.
You played Dr Kimberely Stride an intelligent but great looking woman, but one day your nerdy assistant (his name was Callam, or some other such suitably nerdy name!) goes mad and tries to kill you leaving you half naked and stuck in the game whilst he ogles you and laughs with his worst Dr Evil laugh. Actually another good game though.
This was a very good strategy game with some very neat arcade action sequences. The game is difficult to find nowadays and although receivng favourable reveiws was never quite the success it should have been.
However the FMV in this game was notable only because of the poor quality of the actors, dressed in some of the most ridiculous clothing imaginible. The game was set in medieval times and all the ham actors were dressed for the era but there was an abundance of ludicrously tight pants and big furry collars which wouldn't look out of place in a Monty Python comedy sketch.
This was terrible, really really bad, you have to experience this to realise just how awful it was. The cutscenes between levels featured some very normal standard 'bridge of a space ship giving orders' type of video, no better or no worse than any other game around at the time.
However at some point after the initial video was done some executive suit in publishing must have said 'Wouldn't it be cool if...' and then we ended up with two black head and shoulder cutouts on screen in front of the FMV, like we were behind them in a cinema, trying far too hard to be like Beavis and Butthead failing miserably they are too busy attempting to make fun of the characters on screen to realise how stupid they are.
There are no funny lines whatsoever from either character and they just spoil an otherwise ok game. Dumb, dumber and dumbest idea ever!
