Diary Week Seven
Day 43
|
Sunday, 29th August, 2004Howys woke me up at 9:15 to get ready for church, but I just grunted a little and fell back to sleep. Fortunately, I managed to rescue the situation and got up in time for the start of the service, although clearly tired. Having managed to stay awake through the service, sunday school and then the general meeting, I had a quick chat with Rhian before going back to bed and getting some well-needed sleep! So, a couple of hours of sleep and a bite to eat worked wonders, before I raised my sleepy head enough to go to the cyber cafe and have a chat in the welsh-premier regular sunday meet. Entertaining as usual, even if hopelessly bizarre (and yet strangely predictable) every week. The problem with sleeping all afternoon is that you dont feel tired when it gets to real bed-time, so I took a trip to the cinema to see "Yo, Robot" (I, Robot), the new Will Smith film. Good, harmless, fun film - despite the annoying constant product placement. "Why, what cool training shoes you have!" just before a chase scene. I mean, does anyone really buy that sort of stuff? How blatant can you make it?! Back home before midnight, and a little time for some light reading, so a couple more stories from Cortazar before going to sleep!
