Having managed to avoid doing any real work on Friday, I got up early, well, early-ish on Saturday to start some re-drafting.

Fortunately, with my bed covered in paperwork and my mind trying to do a translation for the Eisteddfod, Rhian called round to see if I wanted to go for a walk and take some photos of the town.

So, thatīs what we did - wander around for an hour or two taking photos of Trelew and of Moriah Chapel and have a chat about my work. Very useful.

We arranged to meet up later, then I went off to the internet cafe to check how Barry had done. Good, a win away at Ely Rangers, halting our losing streak. The world is improving!

That left me with a few hours to kill, so after doing a bit more real work, I started reading my new Cortazar book "Final del Juego", another book of short stories. Unlike the previous book of five stories, this was a whole series of shorts or "cuentos" as they are called in Spanish.

I got through the first couple of stories in mid-afternoon listening to some music, then nibbled my way through some tea before going out and meeting Rhian at 8ish.

We met up on the corner of Fontana and San Martin and went to get some cash out from the Link machine. A new place called Margaritas was our intended destination, but it wasnīt open yet, so we went to the Touring Club for a coffee and coke first.

After finishing that, we went to Margaritas for dinner, although we took more than our fair share of time in ordering, buying a bottle or two of red wine before opting for a pizza between the two of us.

As the night wore on, the place got busier and busier, turning into a busy and posh looking bar. We just kept our seats at the table and waved at anyone who we knew in the place, getting drunker as the night wore on.

Having drunk all that we could in Margaritas, and managed to get quite drunk, we went to a pool hall-come-pub round the corner for a cheeky beer, and then, for me at least, a long, elongated, slightly tipsy walk home. Is that daylight I can see?
