Diary Week Ten
Day 64
|
Thursday, 23rd September, 2004I got woken up by the sound of builders doing work on the house, shoring up some of the walls downstairs. Apparently, he needed the extension from my CD player to do some work, so I had to do without music for waking up to. Then, what. Hmmm. Well, I went along and checked my e-mail quickly, then down to the gym for a quick session (felt unfit as unusual). Yesterday, Esyllt had given me some work from the museum at 28 de Julio that they wanted translated and I had offered to produce a version in English and a half-ready Welsh translation that she could tidy up for public reading ahead of the expected tourist surge next month. So, I went home and had a quick read through the material, but ended up dozing on the bed and having an unplanned siesta. Luckily, I got up in time to go and meet Betiana at 4 in the Plaza Independencia, from where we went to her boyfriends place of work in the "Direccion de la Juventud" office behind Trelews modern art centre, where we sat around for a few hours, drinking mat and checking her homework and dummy run tests. After that, I popped home for a bit of food and then back to the cyber cafe for the Welsh Premier chat, which was rather quiet this week, not least with several of the Barry fans on holiday. Stayed in the cybercafe to do some work on the website (its almost finished. ha! for how long have i been saying that!) and then home to have another bite to eat and start working on the translations properly - surprisingly not too difficult to translate into English, but I get the feeling that working them into Welsh will be a bit more difficult for me! Anyway, a relatively early night, with a good nights sleep ahead of me!
