I got up early with the intention of heading down to Dolavon to hand out questionnaires at Esyllts lessons there, but was stopped by Hawys, who told me that someone she knew had died last night in Rawson and that the funeral was today at 11am in the cemetery at Gaiman.

After getting over the idea of burying someone the day after their death (eeeurgh), I got into the car with Hawys and Elena and went to the cemetery with them.

It felt very strange, not only attending the ceremony of someone I didnt know (I was technically helping Hawys with walking to and from the car), but also attending in jeans and t-shirt, like most of the others in fact.

The service was short and to the point, in Spanish, with the lady being buried alongside her husband.

After the ceremony, Hawys showed me where her family were buried, including her aunt, Eluned Morgan, a famous Welsh-Argentinian author.

I was then given a lift into Gaiman, where I met up with Esyllt at her house and had some mat and lunch before running to get the bus to Dolavon for the lessons.

We sat there for nearly six hours, with me collecting questionnaires from the class members and helping, or trying to help, with the translations between Welsh and Spanish whenever there were problems.

When all that was over, we got back on the bus, with Esyllt getting off in Gaiman and me sitting on the windy route through the farms back to Trelew.

After getting off the bus in Trelew, I bumped into Carwyn, who had been collecting some more qaires for me (thanks Carwyn) and then went to Nort to stock up my food supplies once more. They didnt have any of the sweets I wanted, or so I thought until I saw a giant sized bag which will hopefully last me for, ooooh, days.

A quick check of my e-mails (first time in 2 days, maybe Im not quite so hooked!) and then I wandered along to the cinema to see a film called La Aldea (The Village), which promised to be scary, but wasnt, and whose twist seemed rather obvious within minutes of the start, which was disappointing. Ultimately watchable, but not satisfying.

Then off home to bed!
