After the oooh-excitement of winning the night before, I got up at around ten-ish to staple together the large print qaires (none of which had been used the night before) and have a wander around town and check my e-mails before heading down to Gaiman at lunch-time.

On the bus down to the Eisteddfod, I got chatting to a couple of American students (although one may have been Danish) who are studying in Buenos Aires and were travelling around the country for a few weeks. They were going to Gaiman to sample "Welsh tea", so I tried to interest them in the Steddfod and "real Welsh culture" in the town.

After arriving at the Gim, early once more, I got talking to a girl from Cardiff who was in the Wladfa after spending some time on an archaelogical dig in the north of the country. Lives in the Heath, when not away at uni. Small world.

Eisteddfod started once again in the early afternoon, with the hall packed with young kids and parents for all of the youngsters competitions - more folk dancing, more singing, more recitation.

One of the more deserving winners was the San David nursery (go and see the photos!) who were soooooo cute on stage and won the under-5 free choice song in Welsh competition, effortlessly beating off competition from their peers in Gaiman ,)

I went off for food midway through the afternoon, so missed some of the choirs, but you couldnt miss the hundreds of children packing the place out when I got back or Radio Arte doing interviews and broadcasting live from the back of the hall.

After the break for Welsh tea upstairs, there was the only entrant in the rock band competition, before back to the more traditional stuff, leading up the chairing ceremony just before nine, the winner being a 15 year old girl from Trelew.

Having got all that I wanted from the day (more completed qaires), I made a break for it, getting the nine oclock bus back to Trelew, checking my e-mail and getting some coke on the way.

Once back in Trelew, I went out and played pool for an hour or two with Alan Hughes and his cousin (I lost, as usual) and then headed down to Karen and Nachos house where they were sort of celebrating Gabi Chiquititas birthday, watching films and eating popcorn.

About half three-ish we left the house (it had gone cold while I was inside!) and made our way up Avda Yrigoyen to El Cuervo where we sort of shuffled our feet around for a few hours (this week I was quite taken by the Babasonics songs they played and something by the Music that I knew) before leaving when the music stopped at six.

Very strange being out till six in the morning and not being drunk!

Wandered back down the street to home and a very, very comfy bed!
