    In this position, I faced the standard duties of fortnightly payrolls and various enquiries. I gained invaluable knowledge of how the public sector works. Listening to complaints and defusing anger were two skills I learned early on.

  • January - December 1990

    At Fremantle Hospital I gained unique experience working in a hospital environment. Duties included fortnightly payrolls and dealing with various enquiries.


  • Payroll Officer, Coates Hire Operations (WA) Pty Ltd

  • February 1998 - August 1998

    As well as having the responsibility for managing the payrolls for approximately two hundred positions, a major challenge in this position was dealing with enquiries from occasionally hostile or irate employees. Many aspects of payroll were handled on MicroPay program, Excel and Lotus on PC.
