Friday 28th June
It had finally arrived, the moment we had all been working towards. We arrived at the Pen-Y-Pass car park and had no problem finding a parking space. Bags were packed at we were at the gate to the Miners Track at five minutes past five, the watch was started and we were off..

We couldn't have asked for better weather, it was a dry day with light cloud cover - ideal for the challenge. We set off at a reasonable pace already knowing how fast we could go as we had done Snowdon a few weeks before hand.

As we made our way up, we found that parts of the track were being repaired and we lost the path once or twice but this did not hinder our progress towards the summit.

We reached the trig point right on schedule, we had been going for 1 hour and 50 minutes. We paused for 5 minutes to rest, have a drink and a snack and then set off back down the way we had come.

Once again, we lost the path on our descent and we probably lost 5 or 10 minutes which wasn't a great loss and one that we could make up. In the end, we still got back to the car 5 minutes ahead of schedule at 20:25.

A quick change, toilet stop, throw stuff into the car and we were on our way to Scafell within 15 minutes. One down, two to go...

17:05 Start at the base of Snowdon on the Miners Track, Pen-Y-Pass car park.

18:55 Snowdon Summit.

20:25 Base of Snowdon, Pen-Y-Pass car park.
