| Useful reading The National Three Peaks Walk by B.G.Smailes The Hillwalkers handbook by Steve Ashton. Britain's Highest Peaks by Jeremy Ashcroft. High Mountains of Britain and Ireland by Irvine Butterfield. Trail Walker February 1996 edition. (Large article on the Three Peaks Challenge). As far as I know there is no official Three Peaks Challenge organisation, and nowhere where you can sign a book at the start or finish of your trip. It's pretty much a voluntary challenge based on the three mountains that can be undertaken at any time of the year. |

| I have included a few links below for you. They are not all directly related to the Three Peaks Challenge, but are a good read all the same. One site has to be mentioned in particular and that is by Steve Biggs and be found at : http://homepages.tesco.net/~steve.biggs/3peaks.html#contents This is a great web site around which I have based this record of our 3 Peaks Challenge, many thanks to Steve for allowing me to use his site as a reference. Walking Britain Over 3000 pages of information dedicated to footpaths across Britain. Nevis-View web site. Tourist Information, transport and walking links for the Ben Nevis area. Cotswold Outdoor The Outdoor People homepage. GORP-The Great Outdoor Recreation Pages. Packed with valuable information for outdoor recreationists.
