You might be a person who has tried dieting in the past. Perhaps you were successful at losing the weight, but within a period of time, for whatever reason, you gained it all back. Your subconscious mind is far stronger than your conscious mind. Your conscious mind was able to hold back the cravings and the hunger for the duration of the diet, but once the diet was over, the subconscious mind took over again and you resumed old eating habits. The objectives of losing weight, keeping the weight off and incorporating new habits into your life are major foundations of successful weight loss. Hypnosis is a very powerful technique that can change your subconscious thoughts and established behaviours that have caused you to overeat. A comprehensive assessment will help us to identify when, where and why you have a tendency to overeat. From here we will establish a treatment plan, which may include discussing nutrition, exercise and learning self-hypnosis. Learning self-hypnosis will help to re-program your subconscious with a positive eating plan so you will: i. Eat appropriate amounts of food to satisfy hunger ii. Increase self-esteem and empower to accept the new you iii. Increase your desire for healthier food choices iv. Incorporate new positive responses to old behaviour response (over eating) situations If you think your excess weight is the results of something physiological, speak with your doctor before seeking hypnosis. Hypnosis can help with metabolism rates, blood pressure levels, pain control, anxiety and stress management to help ease physical symptoms. ________________________________________________ If you feel you have a weight issue caused by over eating and would like to tackle it, take a look at the following exercise to help you identify when, where and why you are most likely to eat.
