Definition

An unwarranted tendency to interpret the actions of other people as deliberately threatening or demeaning.

People that suffer from this disorder are often suspicious of other people, and are unable to identify any negative feelings that they have toward others. The cause of the disorder is unknown but it is believed that it is more likely to occur in people that have a family member who suffers with schizophrenia.
