| 9/18/2007 I don't have my Bible in front of me, but if I did, it would be a verse of praise... Maria walked into her classroom today! You know, we still have to "hand her off" but not today...today she walked in! We are so proud of her. I have to say (though I am almost scared to say it), she has been bubbling over with joy the past few days. We have really enjoyed her happy outlook and more even keel...I will try to remember to share the comments she made when we were talking on the way home today...but I am about to run out of room. I still need to share a second praise... We are IN PGN. Apparently we have been there six days. Of course, it can and often does take eight weeks for a kickout if we get one, then we start all over (in PGN, not all together). We are just praying for God's perfect time...we long for Joshua to be here, but we have to trust His ways... Reba |
| 9/19/2007 Hello! I don't know about you, but I am glad it is "hump day"...I am ready to be over the hump for the week. Oh, I did get my hour or so at home alone today after my appointment...what a treat! I didn't get to start on many projects, but I did have a chance to start weeding out some of Maria's clothes she has outgrown in her closet. I have a sense of accomplishment, even though it creates more work as I decide whether to garage sale it, give it away, or save it for a consignment sale. Until then, it just sits here in a pile in our office. Where will I put things once Joshua is here? This will be his room! Tonight was Mommy and Maria night. She gets really upset when the others leave, so we usually go somewhere (and it is MUCH easier to run errands with just her than with all three). We headed to Walgreens (I was out of dark chocolate :) and then to Harps for groceries. Maria is getting much more outspoken and less shy (depending on her mood). As we were leaving Walgreens, I asked her to say good-bye to the cashier. She YELLED, "Bye, Girl!" At Harps, to anybody who dared try to come to our line (and few did), she would call out, "They need to wait their turn!" It was a bit embarrassing. At both stores, I was asked how old she was and comments were made about her talking. I cannot help but smile when I hear that...if they only knew how short a time she has been speaking! Well, from what I have read, PGN is taking about eight weeks if you are blessed enough to have NO kickouts, and if you do have one, at least eight weeks AFTER you go back in. I am not even going to try to predict...it is in God's hands (via the Guatemalan attorney general's office). I just know I miss Joshua. He is five months old now... |
