Through the wonders of e bay we have bought a Citroen C15 van which for most of its life worked for the Belgian Post Office. It was born in 1989 and has only done 193,000 km!
We kept within the rules by paying just �100 although the fitted stereo system was a little expensive at �290!
The good news is that it has a 12 months UK MOT and even managed to get us back from High Wycombe to Bristol having met the previous owner in a hotel car park and paid over the cash - just what you are not meant to do when buying a vehicle!
This is actually our second vehicle we bought for the rally - the first was a clapped out Suzuki Swft that I bought unseen on ebay for �100 but turned out to have more rust than metal on the chasis - it was a basket case and it is now rotting in a local scap yard!
Our splendid van will be branded with Postman Pat stickers along with stickers advertising those companies that pledge support.
