Dear HTA Members,
Welcome to our 2003 season!
We hope
you will renew your membership. We’ve enclosed
an extra application form and encourage you to invite a friend
or colleague to play on one of the ladders. We are especially
keen to find some more men for the doubles ladder. This year
your membership is half price ($12.50) if you send in your
application along with one for a new member.
We are continuing to develop our web page and capabilities.
What this means is that members will be able to: 1. check
their ladder standings weekly, 2. see who is in range for
a challenge game without having to call their ladder captain,
3. download a member application , 4. download the newsletters,
5. view photos. At the present time, the web page address
is http://www.geocities.com/htatennis.
In order for the success of this program to be achieved
we need ladder captains who have e-mail capability. Please
e-mail Tina Franck at [email protected] to volunteer ASAP!
Applications are also always available at Grand Slam Tennis.
Remember, by stating that you are an HTA member, you will
receive a 10% discount at Grand Slam Tennis on purchases
other than by credit card.
Sue
George is offering a 10% discount to H.T.A. members at
their tennis parties this year. The discounted price for
H.T.A. members is $27 for players and $13.50 for socializers.
This includes an all-you-can eat buffet and at least 2 hours
of tennis. Both singles and couples are welcome. The parties
are now at Sportime in ROSLYN (not Syosset). The dates are:
3/1, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, 5/3, 5/17, 5/31, 6/14, 6/28, 9/20,
10/4, 10/18, 11/8, 11/22, 12/13 and 12/31* (* New Year’s
Eve – call Sue for details). Play starts at 8 pm; please
arrive by 7:30. Reservations are required: Call Sue at 516-576-3467
Please mail your completed application back with a check
enclosed by March 31st in order to hold your previous ladder
status. Applications received after March 31st will be
put in the appropriate pool and members will be able to
challenge in before June 30th. In the case of Doubles,
BOTH applications must be in by the 31st or you lose your
position!
