Here
is the heart of the web site. All our ladders are found by clicking
on the appropriate link for each ladder on the left navigation
bar. Each ladder page will have the same links so you can jump
from ladder to ladder without going back to a main page.
The
ladders will be updated weekly by Wednesday of the following
week if all the results are reported by the ladder captains
by Sunday evening. Please make sure to give all your results
to your captains as soon as possible so they can in turn report
them to the webmaster for weekly updating. Any match not reported
by Sunday evening will be carried over into the next week.
The
display of each ladder is highly improved. We have acquired
software to keep track of and publish ladders to the web site.
The software automates the ranking process, keeps track of
all the players and creates the formatting of the output.
That's why you will see the fonts of the ladder pages a little
bit different than the rest. By using this software, the process
of entering, updating and publishing the results will be greatly
streamlined.
You
might see yourself in two ladders if you started in one, played
matches and you also challenged into a higher one. We will
delete you from the previous ladder automatically and the
results will be reflected in the next week. This also holds
true for unsuccessful challenges from the pool. That individual
will show up in the ladder even though they have not earned
a spot. Next week they will be deleted as well.
If
anybody is interested in how the software works, you can contact
our webmaster, Howard Abelow
