I. Course Requirements and Procedures

 

1.     Recourses

Text:  Human Resource Management, 11th edition, Dessler, Prentice Hall Publishing

 

2.     Class Procedures and Course Evaluation

 

§  Per Department Policy, no make-ups are to be given. (Drop 1 lowest test and 2 lowest Assignment scores).  

 

§  All assignments are due at the beginning of class (1:10 p.m.).  Feel free to place your assignment on the instructor’s desk.  10 points will be deducted for the first 15 minutes late and every 10 points thereafter. 

 

§  There will be no extra work assigned for an extra grade. Everyone will be treated on an equal basis.

 

§  Students are responsible for Test Procedures (click to view) and Assignment Submission Instructions (click to view)

 

§  Course Weights will be determined as followed:

A1) Research Paper/Project:

 

§  Students can select from one of the topics provided to research.

 

§  In class Power Pont Presentation of the research is mandatory.

 

§  On the last class meeting, students are required to attend every project presentations and participate in project presentation evaluation (-10 pts. of project final grade, if fails to comply).

      A2) Test (T):

§  4 Tests will be administered over sessions 2 – 6. 

 

§  During the test, sharing material resources are not allowed.  (Back-up your pencils, eraser, and etc.)

 

§  Test Format: The test has two parts.  Part I: Theory (MC A type).  Part II: Discussion (DQ A type).
