Nancy Jane Pipes
Born 1/15/1826
Died 6/21/1911
Daughter of Morris Pipes
& Sallie Montgomery
Their children:
Sarah A., Isaac T.,
Martha Elizabeth, James Patrick and Rufus Jr.
Rufus was originally buried in an older Hourigan graveyard but was moved to the present Hourigan Cemetery after the death of his wife, Nancy.  His tombstone reads that he died in July of 1857 but Vital Statistics gives 1/12/1857 as the correct date.  I assume that either the date on his old stone was unreadable or he had never had a stone and the family had lost track of the actual date.  There was also an entry in the Vital Statistics listing David Hourigan, age 38, farmer, widower, born in Washington Co. KY to Patrick and Winford Hourigan.  He died on July 24, 1857 of Dropsy.  This is Rufus Hourigan's father but his age has to be incorrect.   The family may have confused Rufus Hourigan's death date with his father's date of death.
