Lie to Me Kris Carter meets up with a lonely stranger on Thanksgiving 1999. He seems nice enough, so nice that she allows herself to fall for him. The only problem is that she already has a boyfriend. He's emotionally distant, but there's just something about him that Kris finds she can't let go.

Second Guessing The story picks up a few months after Lie to Me lets off. Kris is desperate to get back to a normal life after everything happened to her, and she'll try anything to get back to it. She tries to light an old flame that she never should have ignited in the first place.

Leaving to Stay Three years after Second Guessing, Kris is with her new beau and living happily in college in San Francisco. Everything's finally perfect. All her past problems are gone now, and only one poses a threat. She isn't worried about it. But happiness doesn't always last forever.
