I mentioned in the introduction to Lie to Me that I was already thinking of a second story, and as soon as I finished the first one, I started this one. I never really figured out how much time passed between these two stories. I kind of messed it up, I think, because I mentioned that Kris was still healing from the accident, but later on I mention that it was longer than that. I don�t know. The time span between the two stories is unknown.

Once again it's Kris's point of view. The story takes place over a week to ten-day period, if you don't include the prologue. After the accident at the end of Lie to Me, her and Taylor break up. She starts going out with Brian again, but on their one-month anniversary, she realizes her feelings for Taylor aren't gone yet. That introduces the start of Brian's abusive acts towards Kris. When the boys are back in Chicago to shoot a music video, she finds Taylor again and relies on him in her time of need. Her new best friend Zac and his girlfriend Misty appear quite a lot as the four of them turn the music video into an semi autobiographical video of the accident the four of them had lived through.
