This story started out as Gracie being Isaac's wife and started out with them living together in California. She showed signs of being an alcoholic�and the story just stopped there. I don't think I ever got past page twelve. Actually, I don't think I've ever gotten past page twelve on any Ike story. This is my first completed Ike story. It's a big deal for me. So, anyway, that didn't work out so I decided to change it around a little. I set the story back a few years. Gracie and Ike are both sixteen. They meet at a library (of all places). They hit it off pretty well, even though the first day is a little shaky because Gracie's suddenly going through these changes where everything is different, she even begins to hear voices inside of her head. It begins to affect her in every way but she promises herself she'd never let it affect her relationship with Isaac.

So they story mainly revolves around Gracie. It's more about her and Isaac takes a step on the back burner as the main focus of the story. But it's still technically an Ike story. I believe as my writing evolves I might make Ike the main focus of the story and nothing else, but I'm learning. I don't know why I find him such a hard character to use but I do. Even when I was writing this story, the scenes with him seemed to drag a little and took a lot of time to write. But I try and that's what counts.

This story took about a year to write because I kept straying from it, then going back to it, then going away from it again. I started it about June of last year, then put it away for a long time to write The Kris Trilogy, then The Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll Trilogy and anything else I might have written from June of last year to now. Then I picked it up again actually while writing The Sex, Drugs, and Rock n Roll Trilogy, mostly when I was in a short writer's block in between books. Then after I finished that Trilogy I picked it up a final time and finished it. And here it is.
