The
idea for a curry group first started in middle of year 2000. The year when R&D
and P-Zee were at RMIT University embarking on their engineering careers. That
was the time when bhangra music was beginning to slowly infiltrate the world
music arena. The original idea was to form a curry group consisting of all their
curry friends at RMIT. The original group should have consisted of: P-Zee, R&D,
JS, RS, JC (for purposes of protecting identity, only initials have been
supplied). It was that year when R&D decided to have a career change, and the
following year (2001) he was accepted into medical school (his life long dream).
In year 2001, things had not gone according to plan. The curry group was the
last thing they had in mind, as studies and careers were the mainframe. The
"curries" were split by different classes, different times, thus making it
extremely difficult to go ahead with the plan.
