Besides the nice sunny weather, going to th ebeach and opening presents, what else is there to do in Southern California at Christmas? (I asked myself) Hmmm, let's see what the "San Diego Reader" has to offer. OH! this friday night, December 21st, it's only Deke Dickerson and The Paladins at the Casbah. Another Christmas present? I'll say!
I said hi to both Deke and Dave Gonzalez. Both were surprised to have a Chi-town rep. there for the show. Dave told me about some great mexican restaurants in Escondido - his home. He said they're playing in Vegas this year so I said I"ll see you there.
It was a great double bill. I only wish I could have stayed one more
weekend. Big Sandy was at the Casbah the following Saturday but I had
to go
to Vegas and win some money, and I did.
