1939 Pennsylvania Railroad Calendar Original -- "Leaders
of the Fleet of Modernization"

This is an original 1939 PRR
wall calendar featuring a reproduction of a Grif Teller painting titled "Leaders
of the Fleet of Modernization" and measuring approx. 29" x 28 5/8" and
in excellent overall condition scoring a 9+ on a scale of 1 - 10. This
calendar has survived 68+ years thus far! It is a scene consisting of an S1 streamlined
locomotive pulling one Fleet of Modernization while being passed in the opposite direction
by another. It has a complete and well preserved calendar pad, and the broadside is
attached and in pristine condition. The artwork print area is in really excellent
condition with no perceptible blemishes. The tuscan red border is virtually intact
with no outstanding perceptible creases or blemishes. The gold border has only some minor
creases and chafing in the margins. All of these imperfections are considered minor and
will be barely perceptible, especially after professional framing and hanging over your
mantle or on a wall in your den or train room. This particular calendar is in very

wall calendar featuring a reproduction of a Grif Teller painting titled "The Steel
King" and measuring approx. 29" x 28 5/8" and in excellent overall
condition scoring a 9- on a scale of 1 - 10. It has a complete and well
preserved date pad, and the broadside/greeting letter is an unattached professional
reproduction of the original. The artwork print area is in really excellent condition with
only a couple of barely noticeable minor creases. The tuscan red and gold edge

62+ years thus far! It has only one well preserved calendar pad sheet (MAR - APR - MAY,
1946), and a professionally reproduced copy of the original broadside (not shown in
photo). The artwork print area is in nearly perfect condition with no noticeably
perceptible imperfections. The tuscan red border is virtually intact with virtually
no perceptible imperfections. The gold border has some edge creasing in the right margin
and a professionally repaired void in upper right corner. All of these imperfections are

1947 Pennsylvania Railroad Calendar Original -- "Working
Partners"

This is an original 1947 PRR
wall calendar featuring a reproduction of a Grif Teller painting titled "Working
Partners" and measuring approx. 29" x 28 5/8" and in excellent
overall condition scoring an 9+ on a scale of 1 - 10. This calendar has
survived nearly 61 years thus far! The scene is of the River Road area of Marysville,
Pennsylvania. This was Grif Teller's first attempt at including a Diesel locomotive in a
calendar scene. It has a complete and well preserved date pad, and an attached original
broadside. The artwork print area is in really excellent condition with no perceptible
blemishes. The tuscan red border is virtually intact with only a barely perceptible
horizontal crease above the date pad for the width of the calendar. The gold border has
only a professionally repaired minor tear near the upper left corner and a couple of minor
creases along the margins. Certain areas of the back of the calendar (e.g. the horizontal
crease above the date pad) have been reinforced with white artist tape for added
stability. All of these imperfections are considered minor and will be barely perceptible,
especially after professional framing and hanging over your mantle or on a wall in your

53+ years thus far and is still in great condition! The scene shows a lineup of passenger
trains headed by GG1s parked near Municipal Stadium (later renamed John F. Kennedy Stadium
in the 1960s) in South Philadelphia. The stadium has since been demolished and replaced by
Veterans Stadium, which will soon get the wrecking ball too. This particular calendar has
a complete and well preserved calendar pad, and a broadside is attached as well. The
