In the morning Huck was laying on the ground with the rifle in his hands when he woke up. Pap was standing over him and asked him why he had that gun, obviously he forgot all about the last night. Huck told him that he heard people outside. That day Pap went out like usual and Huck was ready to get out of there. So he went and gathered all of his belongings. He poured pigs blood all over to make it seem like he was dead. At nightfall he headed out for Jackson Island. When he arrived he went to shore and could look back at the lithe town off in the distance.
Chapter 8
Huck woke up in the morning and had his breakfast. He could see a ferryboat off in the distance and on was all of his friends looking for his dead body. They floated out baker�s bread. He got it on the shore of the island. He was pleased that they were using such fancy bread, but he was sad because he put them through such grief. He was walking along on the island when he ran into Jim. Jim was startled he thought that Huck was a ghost. Jim escaped because he thought that Miss Watson was going to sell him to another slave owner. Huck and Jim hung out on the island and told stories and talked about superstitions.
