In the first chapter of the book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, it introduces the main character Huck Finn. A woman named Widow Douglas adopts Huck. Huck and his friend Tom Sawyer found six thousand dollars each. Huck didn�t like living with the Widow Douglas because he couldn�t do anything that he wanted. Huck wanted to smoke, but Widow Douglas didn�t let him because she thought that it was a bad habit. She also wanted him to be clean and to behave properly. Widow Douglas had a sister named Miss Watson that, like Widow Douglas, wanted Huck to get involved with religion. Miss Watson wanted Huck to go to the good place, but he wanted to go to the bad place.
Chapter 2
In chapter two, Huck sneaks out at night with the help of Tom. They had to be cautious because Miss Watson�s Jim heard them while they were passing by the kitchen. Tom did a trick to Jim while he was asleep and he thought that witches had done it. Jim told everyone about his experience with witches. When Huck and Tom get away they meet with other boys. Tom wanted to start a gang based on books he had read. He was going to name the gang �Tom Sawyer�s Gang�. They were going to rob and murder people. To join they had to take an oath and sign their name with their blood. They boys were very enthusiastic about their gang.
