| India is a complete assault on the senses. Everything you believe to be true is not, and everything you believe not to be true certainly is. India has a billion people. To put that another way, one in every 6 or 7 people on the earth live there. India will surprass even China with its huge population growth. Three quarters of them live in the countryside. In the seven weeks that we were here we experienced insufferable heat, exhaustion, frustration, sickness, poverty and discrimination. On the other hand, we also experienced kindness, spirituality and had the opportunity to see the Dalai Lamai speak in northern India. Julie's sister Elizabeth joined us for the first two weeks of our trip. |
