One of the main purposes of the Hellenic Canadian Community is to facilitate a Greek School. The Heritage Language School was founded in the spring of 1985.

Its goal is to advance the Greek language and culture as part of the Canadian heritage.
The school is open to Greek Canadian and all Canadian alike. It started for the first time on September 2, 1985 to 128 students and 17 adult students. From then on 3 hour classes of Greek Language and History are held every Saturday for:

Grades 1 to 6. Greek 15, Greek 25, Greek 35 that are recognized by Alberta Learning. Also adult classes are avalible as needed.
As of 1998, more than 453 students have graduated. All of them today are contributing members of our society.
Some, after completing their University studies, have returned as teacher, while others now return every Saturday as parents with their childern.
Our school continues to be a success and is a important part of the Community.
