The Hellenic Canadian Community of Edmonton and Region was established in late 1982. Its purpose is to house a Greek Language Heritage School, to carry on artistic and cultural functions and to promote the Hellenic culture as part of the Canadian heritage. Some important dates follow: October 30, 1982 Decision for the creation of the Hellenic Community. December 30, 1982 Creation of Our Community.
