Aquela é a cadeira embaixo da qual coloquei o tapete.	That's the chair under which I put the rug.	There's a preposition (embaixo) before the relative pronoun in the sentence and the pronoun refers to cadeira (feminine singular): use a qual *embaixo de + a qual = embaixo da qual*
Aquele é o carro sobre o qual coloquei a prancha de surfe.	That's the car (which) I put the surfboard on.	There's a preposition (sobre) before the relative pronoun in the sentence and the pronoun refers to carro (masculine singular): use o qual.
São Paulo, o lugar em que moro, é uma das maiores cidades do mundo.	São Paulo, the place (which) I live in, is one of the biggest cities in the world.	Remember: Don't use o qual, a qual, os quais or as quais *after prepositions em, com, a, por and de; use que, instead.*
Aquele é o cantor de quem mais gosto.	*That's the singer (who)* I like most.**	*Remember to use quem* after all prepositions when you refer to people. gostar de = to like Verb gostar requires preposition de**
