Welcome to Rosamond Skypark Aero Club, the land of open skies. Our goal is to provied a safe flying environment to all nationalities while encouraging all, whether young or old the ability to learn how to fly. Through our low cost instruction programs and rental aircraft, you may be able to learn the abilty fly and earn your private pilots certificate. With the aid of our veteran instructors, you can learn how to fly in one of our Cessna 172 single engine aircraft. If you are not interested in learning how to fly, you can rent one of our aircraft and a qualified pilots who can to take you in to the skies to experience the majestic views of the Antelope Valley and Tehachapi mountains.
STEPS TO BECOME A PILOT
Must obtain a FAA Third Class Medical Clearance From FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
Attend an FAA approved flight/ground safety school to obtain a pilot certification.
Complete Cessna’s Computer Based Instruction program in lieu of flight safety school
Upon the completion of ground/flight school, must meet a minimum of 40 hours of flight time, 20 hours with an instructor, and complete 20 hours of solo flight to be certified pilot
Complete and pass the required FAA written exam
Pass a certified checkride examination by an approved evalutor
Must be 16 years of age or older

Annual Membership: $300, Monthly Membership $25
Cessna 172S: Garmin GTN 650, Autopilot, $125/hr
Cessna 172S: Garmin 1000 $140/hr
Cessna R182: Autopilot,On board Nav system, $155/hr
FLIGHT INSTRUCTION COST
Flight/ground instruction for a private pilot certificate: $45/hr.
To maintain and advance pilot certification/renewal: $55/hr.
