| Resident Evil is the king of survival horror. Not the first (that belongs to Alone in the Dark) but the first to really make survival horror what it is and set the standard. One of their finest titles in the series, originally released on the Dreamcast, ported to the PSX with a few enhancements, then to the Gamecube as a cop out by Capcom for money (bad Capcom!), we have the only fully 3d, traditional RE title (not including Gun Survivor, as I said, traditional). It had more story, more characters, and was longer than any other RE to date (unless of course it took you 2 months to figure out the stupid chess puzzle in RE2 like it did for me), and who could forget the badassery of Alexia vs. Wesker? It was the pinnacle of the traditional series, and remains my favorite. And, the story is Don't Let It, a romance that basically novellizes the veents of the story in a sort of short narration (as opposed to my long windedness) and adds more romance and bits of action to the mold. I discontinued the story because I hated the reviews it was getting...they were good reviews, great ones...I just don't like raving idiot fangirls going "OMG I LUV IT SO MUCH WRITE MORE PLZ!", since I had abased myself to the level that I usually make fun of. Enjoy it for what it is, and if you want the conclusion, play the game. |
