| PREP: (This passes for German Potato Salad very nicely.) 1 can sliced white potatoes, well rinsed in your hottest tap water. 1 small onion minced. 2 Tb good cooking (canola?) oil. 1 Tb white vinegar. 2 tsp Margoram leaves. Toss all and S+P to taste. Simple, but really good. |

| PREP: (One of my favorites.) 1 10 oz pack of frozen mixed vegetables zapped for 5 mins on Hi. 1 6 oz can tiny shrimp rinsed snd boiled in very salty water for 15 seconds, then rinsed again. Put shrimp and vegetables in a bowl while still warm; Mix in 1 or 2 Tbs mayonaise and S+P to taste. Place in fridge and chill for an hour. This salad is especially good with steak. It rates a nice dinner. ( I put 1,2 or3 regular shrimp on top just for looks. ) |
